Simple Fall Decor

I think one of the number one questions I get asked on Instagram and by friends and family is advice on Simple Seasonal Decor. So I thought I would share a few Simple Tips for bringing Fall into your Home!

One way I changed up or living room for Fall, was by taking out the blue & grey pillows and the blue and white china accents. I switched the accent pieces out for glass, silver, and white and gold accent pieces. I took off the covers of 6 pillows and put copper velvet pillow covers on them. I loved how it brought in a warm tone to the primarily white room.

Copper Accents Bring in Warmth for Fall

For our formal dining room, I added a fern I already had it in this fun wood container, and switched out my white candlesticks for the brown. I also added pieces of moss from previous projects under each candlestick for a woodland feel. I kept the grey table runner and just added the gold wheat garland from Hobby Lobby, that I bought a couple of years ago, to the runner, then a few mini white pumpkins to finish it off.

I love the simplicity and how it brings nature in!

Our Formal Dining Room Dressed for Fall Celebrations

Our kitchen island is a tad over 10' long, so I can decorate it a little and it won't feel cluttered. I added some faux Fall leaf branches, (since some years we don't see fall color, I need faux), in a gold vase. I am loving the moss under the candles in the dining here it is on a bigger scale and of course with Halloween around the corner a wooden Jack-o-lantern is a fun touch with a candle inside.

You can also see in the background I brought out my copper pot from Williams Sonoma. (I've linked similar ones here. My pot has the acorn finial).

I love boiling mulling spices and fruit in it over the Fall and Winter months for a nice warm fragrance in the farmhouse.

Kitchen Counter with a Touch of Fall and Halloween

The kitchen table is in a stage of decorating...I think???...I'm still not sold on the white table cloth staying...but for now I'm It's staying, LOL!

I added a faux magnolia and pine-cone garland, I put wooden trivets down, (my husband made them for me from some of our cedar trees that fell. Then I placed the iron pumpkins on top of the trivets and stuffed them with some Osage oranges my son and I picked from our Osage trees on the property. It's a little over the top, but the table is 6' long and 5' wide so there's plenty of room for dining, and still plenty of room for some Fall color on the table.

You'll notice I also brought out a copper pitcher, copper mule mugs, a brown blown glass pumpkin, and fall leaves in a brown jug, (that we found buried on the was a fun find!), for a little Fall on our sideboard too.

I also swapped out the blue and white pillows on the banquette for some brown and orange paisley pillows I had in my closet. I like that it still feels light and airy but warm and cozy too!

So the only purchase this year was the bright copper velvet pillows from Amazon.

I love the warmth they give to the room. I was afraid of the bold choice, but they turned out to be perfect for our room! They come in a 2 pack for $12.99! I thought that was a deal!

I hope that helps with some simple ideas of using things you may already have and warming up your space for Fall!

Happy Fall Decorating~
